All good things come to an end
| September 11, 2016

Endings are always kind of sad and melancholic but without endings there wouldn't be a new beginning, a fresh start and the desire for another beautiful adventure as well as the appreciation of the once happy days.

Doune Castle

Whether you're a fan of Monty Python or of The Outlander, these ruins might seem familiar to you. This holiday was full of weddings: on the day we've been at the castle some guys had prepared another marriage celebration.

Wallace Monument

The brave Wallace is the national hero of Scotland, so there's a big monument that reminds the people of the historic deeds of this good man.

Where to stay

Callander is the ideal starting point to do daily trips whether to the Trossachs area or e.g. to the historical Stirling. This little village is so beautiful with its bright flowers and overgrown church entry.

Since we've already stayed at the Annfield B&B two years ago and we had such a pleasant stay, we wanted to be there this year as well. And it was really no bad decision. You'll see why. ;)
